Loknayak Jai Prakash Technology Institute (Hindi: लोकनायक जय प्रकाश प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान / LNJPIT) is a government engineering college in Bihar. It is managed by the Department of Science and Technology of Bihar Government. It is approved and approved by All India Technical Education Council and affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University of Patna .
The main campus of this college is located in the outskirts of Saran district , 6 km from Chapra, located in the Bihar State Highway (also known as Chhapra-Patna Highway), which is situated on the banks of river Ganges .

Lokayayak Jai Lighting Technology Institute - 2012
The Bihar Joint Entrance Competitive Examination Board [11] conducts two stage entrance exams after counseling. In the first phase, candidates are screened according to their educational qualification related to ISC or related examinations, after which candidates try to write paper in their particular subjects. For each candidate, a qualifying cutoff mark is calculated based on the category and subject group, in which successful candidate BCECE offers the second stage examination. On the basis of merit list of second phase, successful candidates have to go through the counseling stage again.
A B.Sc. Degree / diploma in engineering is required for lateral entry in second year and should be in the merit list of BCECE (LE). Diplomoma students are preferred over the BSc. Students in BCECE Lateral Entry Examination [12]

Hostel
The institute is residential in nature. There are four boys' hostels that have the capacity to accommodate 800 students and there is the ability to accommodate 200 students in a hostel. Guest House for parents and others located in the premises [14]
Ceremony
Annual Function: The Annual Festival is organized every year on September 8 in the celebration of the Foundation Day of the college. Annual sports events and cultural events are organized along with it. Such as Saraswati Pooja, Vishwakarma Pooja, Fidayai Party, Welcome Party.
